Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas became the first and only company to recieve EarthCheck's Platinum Certification.

The Platinum level is awarded only to institutions and companies that have maintained the EarthCheck certification for over 10 years, with Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas being the only recipient in Korea.

EarthCheck is a global sustainability certification system developed by the Sustainable Tourism Cooperative Research Center, a research institution supported by the Australian government. It is recognized as the most credible international certification program in the field.

The certification is awarded after a meticulous evaluation over one year across more than 100 items spanning 10 indicators, including energy, water, waste, hazardous substances usage, and community contribution. This is the only internationally accredited certification that implements quantitative assessments in sustainable travel and tourism.
